A Cessna 140 cruises above the vast plains of Kansas, birthplace and home of the Cessna Aircraft Company. The Cessna 140 was a model produced immediately after World War Two to help fill the market for light aircraft after the war. Early models like this one have a metal fuselage and control surfaces fabric covered wings. The little two place airplane was both aesthetically pleasing and straight forward to fly. Original selling price in 1946 was $2,995.
